SHARE Family & Community Services Announces Culinary Partners at 2024 IMAGINE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

February 27, 2024 (Coquitlam) – IMAGINE ‘No Place Like Home’ A Fundraiser for Our Community

SHARE Family & Community Services invites the Tri-Cities community to embark on a magical journey to discover the yellow brick road on Saturday, March 2nd, proudly sponsored by Wesbild.

Like the Wizard of Oz, SHARE promises an enchanting evening filled with whimsy, delectable appetizers from local businesses, a myriad of entertainment, and dancing the night away with friends — all while contributing to SHARE's diverse programs and services.

IMAGINE features a culinary competition voted on by guests and the Mayor's VIP judges for Best Savoury and Best Sweet. Culinary Partners include past contributors Cassandra Cake Co., Great Canadian Casino, Mr. Mikes Steakhouse, and Pasta Polo. Dehls Gourmet, Delish Specialty Bakery, and Top Notch Catering are new to the competition. Guests are invited to sample from the sweet and savoury offerings and vote on their favourites, with the winners announced at the end of the evening.

SHARE is hosting an online silent auction and a chance to win the 50/50 cash jackpot that is open to the public and will close on the evening of IMAGINE.

Funds raised directly bolster SHARE’s programs and services that cater to the pressing needs of individuals and families in the Tri-Cities:

“I extend a warm invitation to our community to be part of this year’s IMAGINE, an evening full of great food from local culinary partners, good friends, fun entertainment, and generous giving. By joining us, you are helping SHARE to continue our services and programs that have seen a 40% increase in the need,” says Claire MacLean, SHARE’s CEO. “Your generosity helps us to continue our mission to connect, engage, and strengthen our community – from children who need extra support to grow and learn, to youth and adults struggling with mental health, to refugee and newcomer families and their young children, to seniors in need of assistance. Together, we can make sure our community is a home that welcomes everyone to live, participate, contribute, and reach their full potential.”

Since 1972, SHARE, a registered, non-profit charity, has existed to connect, engage, and strengthen individuals and families. SHARE now serves 24,000 people each year in the Tri-Cities area.

SHARE Family & Community Services Society started as a children’s clothing exchange in 1972 in the basement of founder Gertie Grosser’s home. SHARE quickly became a focal point for community members who wanted to help themselves and their neighbours with life’s challenges.

Today, SHARE is a non-profit, independent, community-based organization providing leadership and programs in response to the social needs of the residents of the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore, and Belcarra) and adjacent communities.
